Austria: Poster: “Your Smile in the Face of Your
Brother is an Act of Charity”
A poster has been circulating in the Austrian capital, Vienna, designed by the
Islamic Union there. It quotes a sacred hadith (tradition) of Prophet Muhammad
(p.b.u.h.) saying, “Your smile in the face of your brother is (equivalent to an act
of) charity.”
This poster has spread on public buses and at underground Metro stations in
order to disseminate love and peace in the Austrian society. This comes within
the frame of a social solidarity campaign and also in response to campaigns
aiming at distorting Islam and the image of Prophet Muhammed (p.b.u.h.).
It must be pointed out that these posters have been placed at train stations under
the label of “Quotes from the Prophet”.
By the way, this Union was founded in 1987, and it started these poster
campaigns in 2006.
The documentary features the lives of five women who were spending their time
drinking, then left these habits, and explains the reasons why they became Muslim
women, and how they change their lives style after embracing the new religion.
the Film asserts that five thousand lady converts to Islam every year in “Britain”,
75% of whom are white women, and the strange thing is that many of those ladies
who convert to Islam were Models or singers before that.
